The Lord called Rick to minister to the Los Angeles Lakers basketball teams 23 years ago At every Los Angeles Lakers home game Rick conducts chapel services; giving the Word of God to the Lakers as well as to the visiting teams. Rick offers a Lakers prayer line that specifically prays for the needs of the team. Rick has been married for almost 25 years to his wife Sharon. Mablean Ephriam was born to Robert and Mable Ephriam in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. She is no stranger to achievement. Through hard, consistent and dedicated work, she strives to perform and do her God-given best. Since a child, she has always had that “spirit” of excellence and liberality about her. About Pastor John
Pastor John served in the military for 22 years. He spent 15 months in Vietnam in the Army as an infantryman. He retired from the Air Force in 1990. Pastor John has always known about God but he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and became a Christian in November of 1977. His life has been an adventure ever since.
Over the years as Pastor, John has spent time in the Word and prayer. God was faithful to reveal Himself to him and direct his steps to shepherd Etiwanda Community Church in Southern California on September 1, 2006. He believes that this new season in life is yet another opportunity to trust God one day at a time allowing Jesus to be his all in all. While life may be full of ups and downs, Pastor John holds on to God’s promise that He will never leave or forsake us.
Pastor John is currently pursuing his degree at Kings College as he prepares to better equip himself for service. Pastor John and lovely wife Wendy of 39 years resides in Rancho Cucamonga.
